Well, folks, I'm off to Madrid tomorrow for some vacation . . . you'll have to amuse yourselves.
So . . . Detroit beats Miami. Barring injuries, I don't expect anything different from the Conference Finals. These are good teams, it's a tough matchup, but at a minimum home court advantage will pull the Pistons through in the end.

Have fun. Presumably you'll be back before the playoffs.

"Check out the Prado"
Yup. The Garden of Earthly Delights is not to be missed.
Eat lots of ham too.
B-b-but where will we have our hoops discussions? (I'm actually serious)
Oh yeah, have fun. Check out the Bernebeau if you get a chance...
Bocadillos, tapas and beer.
Have an awesome time.

I found the Prado kind of overwhelming myself. It's overstuffed with art. Of course, being ridiculously hung over may have something to do with it.... anyway, it's a great town. Enjoy.

Barring injuries? You say that after a game where both Shaq and Wade are hurting and Miami loses Mourning to a calf tear in the 2nd quarter? Barring injuries Miami beats Detroit last night and last year. Simmons pointed out how lucky Detroit has been over the last 3 years in the injury department. How much of their success can be attributed to that fact?
That being said, Miami has an older team that has really worked hard coming down the stretch. Health is probably going to be a big issue for them.

You'll wish you'd gone to Barcelona instead.
