1,000 Dead

As Operation Iraqi Freedom claims its 1,000th US military casualty a tip of the hat to all of those -- American, British, or otherwise -- who gave there lives so that other, less brave, less worthy men and women could get the chance to mismanage a largish Middle Eastern nation. My thoughts (and hopefully those of readers and, where applicable, prayers as well) are with their comrades, still living, still fighting, still serving their country honorably under trying circumstances and inept leadership.
