Blast From The Past

October 22, 2001:

The assassination of Israeli Minister Rehavam Zeevi has caused a lot of problems for the U.S., derailing Israeli/PLO negotiations at a crucial time, when Arafat looked to be trying to make nice. Is it possible that this isn't a coincidence, but that it was designed to do just that? Could the PFLP be coordinating with bin Laden?
Glenn Reynolds, not so much arguing that those impeding a diplomatic resolution of the Israel/Palestine conflict are playing into Osama bin Laden's hands as using this belief as a premise in an argument. Ah, how times change....
