Return To Blue America

Now this is the brand of ignorance I'm used to. Overheard in Sparky's:

"So we have a baseball team now?"
"Yeah."
"But where do they play?"
"Wherever they want to, I guess."
"We should go to a game."
"Maybe next weekend."
Have fun!

"Wherever they want to, I guess."

You ought to invite them over for a game if your apartment is big enough. Just move around the furniture in the living room.

So do you have a subscription to sparky's web service? I can't really handle the 6-7$ an hour they charge down there, despite the fact that I like the atmosphere. I already pay for hotspot, which I don't use enough as is.

Saw the Nationals (featuring ex-Oriole-prospect Jeffrey Hammonds!) beat my O's in Fort Lauderdale yesterday. I like the red jerseys, the big, blocky lettering, and the interlocking "DC" on the chest. As for _baseball_, I can say only that they offer an appealing "who are these guys?" flavor, plus Jeffrey Hammonds, so I'm all for them.

It's appalling, although I believe you can sign up for a year's worth at a significant discount. I'm usually there at least once a week, but I never quite pulled the trigger because it's so darn overpriced.
