Money Talks
People oftentimes go overboard with "follow the money!"-type inquiries. If you have a policy view that's in the financial interests of people with money, it seems natural that those people may offer you money and that you will accept it. It's unfortunate that political views which aren't in the interests of people willing or able to spread around large sums of cash are put at a competitive disadvantage, but that's the way of the world. It's another thing entirely to change ones policy views in order to get money. In that spirit, the Center for America Progress' Judd Legum seems to have the goods on the Heritage Foundation.

Apropos 'follow the money': How much did Paris Hilton pay for you defending her new tax break? You didn't?
Look at how Howie Kurtz understood your story about the estate tax:

I guess that this wasn't exactly the point you wanted to make, but I sure do remember that your story left me puzzled about your intentions...

With the Bush Administration and his neocon cronies, following the money will give you their true motive and intent every time.

Exactly. MY is confusing institutionalized bias towards interests of the moneyed elite and petit corruption. 'Follow the money' always works in the US politics, no exceptions.
